Growing Shabbat! 6:00 pm Our Growing Shabbat service is for all and geared specifically for families and children of all ages. We will use a Family Prayerbook, the service will be shorter, and we will have the opportunity to break out into groups for discussions and activities on the weekly Torah portion (also geared toward all ages).
Mussar, 10:00 am We will study Genesis 12:1-17:27 – Lech L'cha. The middot/soul traits for this parashah is Yirah/Awe. We will look at: "Accompanying an Awe-Filled Journey." Please plan on joining Michele & Richard Jackman on zoom for an intriguing Mussar discussion of this Torah portion and a deep dive into, “The beginning of wisdom is yirah.”
Rabbi Seth will lead havdalah every month on the third Saturday of the month. These are an opportunity to informally gather as one community, and to support one another through the ongoing challenges. We will schmooze, connect with old friends and make new ones. We will have a short healing service with prayer, meditation and sharing, and conclude with Havdalah. However you seek healing in your life right now, you are welcome.

We will be coming together at Lion's Park to decorate spice boxes, play, schmooze and sing. Our havdallah blessings will be a little early, but it will be good to see each other in person. Register quickly because supplies are limited. Here's the link. The cost will be $9 per family and $3 for each spice box you want after the first one.
Support needed for our Sanctuary Guests
Maria and her son took sanctuary in our Temple beginning in September 2019, when they were faced with deportation to Guatemala. Due to both COVID and an improved environment for immigrants, the family is no longer housed at TBH. Both continue to express appreciation for all of us, especially the volunteers, and to have positive feelings about the time spent in the Temple.
However, they have continued to need some financial support and we are so thankful to those of you who have contributed. We now realize that monthly assistance of $1000.00 will be needed for some time.
We are reaching out to you now to pledge what you can on a monthly basis. To be clear, this is not a request from TBH. It comes from the TBH Immigration and Refugee Task Force, providing support through an account at Interfaith Works. Contributions are tax deductible.
If you are unable to make a monthly donation at this time, one-time donations are welcome as well.
