Engagement and Learning
Learning, Arts & Culture
TBH offers a variety of formal and informal learning opportunities for adults. From discussions at services to Shabbat morning study groups, to Hebrew classes and topic-based learning, Jewish learning is an active part of TBH. Rabbi Seth is also available for individual guided learning. Check our calendar or weekly newsletter for current offerings.
TBH has also hosted arts and cultural events including musical performances and a film series, as well as guest speakers on a variety of topics.
Melaveh Malka is a traditional term describing Saturday night—accompanying Shabbat out as we get ready for the new week. This is a new monthly opportunity on the first Saturday of the month for some TBH social time! Visit with your Jewish community and have fun!
A bi-monthly Book Group meets on the third Tuesday of the month from September through June to discuss works of Jewish fiction and non-fiction. Download a PDF of the books we will be reading in 2024-2025.
The Senior Schmooze meets on the first Tuesday of every month at noon. All seniors (self-defined!) join together to share in lunch and conversation with each other and Rabbi Seth Goldstein. Occasional programs are offered as well. Dessert is provided! Lunch is bring-your-own.
Advancing in Hebrew, led by Rabbi Seth, meets on the 4th Thursday of the month. This seminar-type gathering works on advancing Hebrew knowledge, including grammar and roots. See our weekly newsletter for Zoom information.
