Why become a Member of Temple Beth Hatfiloh?

Temple Beth Hatfiloh is a center for Jewish life in Olympia and the surrounding area. We strive to create a community committed to sustaining Jewish spirituality, education, culture, and social connection. However you connect with Judaism or Jewishness, we invite you to make TBH your home.

One becomes a member by filling out our new membership application (available for online submission or print below) and adhering to our values as a Jewish community. Joining the congregation, according to our by-laws, is open to anyone who “subscribes to the tenets of Judaism.” Additionally, a member is asked to contribute in a meaningful way to the community, both by participating in TBH activities and by making a financial contribution.

The TBH Board has set contribution levels based on our financial needs and congregational size, but what we ask from you is that you give the amount that you are comfortable giving, to give wholeheartedly, and to not be shy.

We hope you will join our community and encourage you to contact the Rabbi or the office with any questions you might have. We hope you will come to events, read our recent weekly and monthly newsletters, and sign up to receive information from us on our home page.

A PDF version of our New Member Application is also available. Completed paperwork can be brought to the office or mailed to Temple Beth Hatfiloh, 201 8th Avenue SE, Olympia, WA 98501.  They can also be emailed to tbh@bethhatfiloh.org.
