Selichot: Cornhole Tournament Saturday, September 28, 7:00 pm In Person
Why can’t repentance be fun? Is there a greater joy than the ability to learn from our mistakes and grow from them? The Jewish understanding of “sin” is that we have “missed the mark,” or not acted in ways that are expected of us. So let’s have a bit of fun with a game of cornhole, where we try not to “miss the mark.” We will follow with Havdalah, a short service and study introducing the prayer themes of the High Holidays, and preparing our sanctuary for the High Holidays. Cornhole outdoors begins at 7:00 p.m., followed by the service and study at 8:00 p.m.
Reconstructionist Thought Then and Now Next Meeting!Sunday, September 29, 2:40 pm
In Person
Still accepting late registrants! For 25 years, TBH has been affiliated with the Reconstructionist movement. While TBH is home to Jews from diverse backgrounds, the ideas of Reconstructionism inform our approach to Jewish life and community. We will examine Kaplan’s writings and use them as a jumping off point for discussing issues affecting the contemporary Jewish community.
Meets Sundays, September 22 & 29, October 20 & 27, November 3 & 17, 2:40 - 4:00 pm Taught by Rabbi Seth Goldstein. Registration costs $18 for TBH members, $36 for non-members.

COMING UP AT TBH
Libby Michaelson Bat Mitzvah Project
Hi, I'm Libby Michaelson! I'm currently a 7th grader at Dr. Claudia Thomas Middle School. I'm a cellist, I play JV tennis and basketball for my school, and I'm involved in robotics. My Bat Mitzvah is coming up on November 9th. I chose to partner with Raising Girls for my Mitzvah Project. I am collecting menstrual hygiene products to help people experiencing period poverty. This cause has always meant a lot to me because everyone deserves access to hygiene even if they can't afford it. I appreciate your donations of pads, liners, and tampons. I have a bin set up in the entry way for your donations!
