High Holiday Youth Programming


To adequately prepare for staffing and supplies, Youth Programs and Child Care require advance registration! PLEASE REGISTER at least 3 days in advance of each event.

Child Care (During Evening Services)

TBH Child Care is available during High Holiday evening services and is  offered free of charge (donations welcome). Rooms 101-102

Erev Rosh Hashanah : Wednesday, October 2, 7:00 pm-9:00 pm
Erev Yom Kippur : Friday, October 11, 6:30 pm-8:30 pm
 
Youth Holiday Activities (During Morning Services)

Children under 12 are invited to sing, pray, create & explore the themes and stories of the High Holidays together. These activities begin at the same time as morning services. A snack will be served. Rooms 101-102

Rosh Hashanah Morning: Thursday, October 3, 9:30 am-11:45 am (ends early for Blessing of the Children)
Yom Kippur Morning: Saturday, October 12, 9:30 am-1:00 pm

 


BLESSING OF THE CHILDREN on Rosh Hashanah Day 1

Thursday, October 3, 11:45 am | TBH Sanctuary

 As part of the Rosh Hashanah morning service, after the Torah reading (approximately 11:45 am), we will offer a community blessing for all our children. If your children are in the building, they will be invited to the front of the sanctuary to participate. No registration required.


TASHLIKH on Rosh Hashanah Day 1

Thursday, October 3, 4:00 pm | Walk from TBH to Port Plaza

 Always a family favorite, close out Rosh Hashanah with Tashlikh at Port Plaza with the rest of the TBH community. Tashlikh (hebrew for "cast off" is when we symbolically cast of our sins by throwing bread crumbs in the water. Feel free to meet us at Port Plaza if you don't want to walk (approximately 4:30 pm). Bring your breadcrumbs. Rain or shine! No registration required.


Tot SERVICE at Camp Solomon Schechter

Saturday, October 5, 10:00 am | Camp Solomon Schechter

For children ages 0-6 & their grown-ups, we’ll welcome in the New Year with songs, stories & movement on Shabbat Shuvah (also our regular Tot Shabbat day!). Special this year, we will be gathering at Camp Solomon Schechter for this service as part of our Fall Family Shabbaton! All families are invited to join us at 10:00 am for the service, followed by a group craft, and then to stick around for a community lunch. So that we can send out the gate code, registration is required this year!  

Regular registration has closed and catering numbers have been submitted. Late registration is available for our Tot Service followed by a craft (no lunch).

 SHABBAT SHUVAH FALL FAMILY SHABBAtON at Camp Solomon Schechter

Families are invited to join us to celebrate Shabbat Shuvah, the start of the school year and the High Holidays at Camp Solomon Schechter.
