FROM THE OFFICE
Coming Soon: TBH Member Connect Email!
We are testing out a new communication initiative for TBH members to reach the entire membership! At the start of each month, we will send out a TBH Member Connect email: a members-only email with a focus on goods/services/and invitations. The TBH staff fields one-off requests for connection, but we are hoping to provide a new resource for our members to help them get the word out to our community. Some types of communications might be:
Do you need to rehome extra library books or are you looking to sell your bike?
Are you looking for a trusted handyperson?
Do you have an art exhibition and would like to invite TBH members to attend?
Do you need a ride to Seattle for medical appointments and are looking for a ride share?
Would you like to open your home to a few others for Shabbat dinner?
Please send your entries to Kayla for compilation throughout the month. Some content may be modified and inclusion will be at staff discretion. We will try out this format for the next few months and adjust as needed!
Torah Readers Wanted!
Our new Shabbat morning services have been sweet opportunities for prayer, song, and study—and we have been blessed to have community members read from the Torah! If you are interested in chanting from the Torah during a service, please sign up on this Google doc.

Looking beyond the Mitzvah of Matzah?
Passover, and with it the Mitzvah of eating Matzah, is over for another year. But, as we look ahead to the General Election in November, we have another chance to perform a significant mitzvah in the next 200 days. This General Election will probably be the most important election any of us have ever known, and it is going to be very close in many ways.
Like me you may find yourself frustrated at the state of current events and wondering what YOU can do about it. Writing postcards to infrequent voters in states where voting is much harder than here in Washington IS a mitzvah. In 2022 several of us at TbH joined together to form TbH Shoferim and wrote over 300 postcards through RAC (Religious Action Committee of Reform Judaism), which in 2020 mailed 9 million cards. Research shows that 1 out of every 4 persons who received a card voted.
If you are interested in joining us this election, please let me know - tishlevee@gmail.com or text me at 707-526-9864
Some congregations are having postcard writing parties, meeting for coffee, a nosh, and a mitzvah. We could do that. Also you can get postcards sent to you directly. It is not too soon to start writing cards to be held for a later mailing.
