Shabbat Salon: Lynne Koral Friday, November 10, 6:30 pm In Person
Registration closes this evening at 5:00 pm! What can we do to foster more disabled people in Jewish congregations? Lynne Koral, a member of TBH, will share her own journey as a blind Jewish person and her path to connecting with suynagogues from childhood to adulthood, including her adult bat mitzvah. She will also share about her work educating school children about disability, and her academic work on disability statistics and how various legal cases have set the stage for the marginalization of disabled people.
Our salon includes a dinner at 6:30 pm catered by Nineveh, this month featuring Ashkenazi comfort foods! We will gather in the social hall at 6:30 to say Shabbat prayers as a community and enjoy dinner together. Our featured presenter will follow at approximately 7:45 pm.

Hanukkah Bazaar Sunday, November 12, 12:00 - 6:00 pm In Person
Find that unique gift for that special someone! The Hanukkah Bazaar at Temple Beth Hatfiloh in Olympia Sunday, November 12, 2023 noon-6pm features jewelry, woodwork, photographic arts and crafts, glass art, textiles, soaps and scents, hand-printed items, and much more by many of the area’s finest artists and artisans. They will also have baked goods for sale to make your holiday season sweet!
In addition, the bazaar will feature the TBH Hanukkah Shop, "Judai-kitsch" Swap, and Booksale. The TBH Hanukkah Shop will be up and running for all of your Hanukkah supplies. Our "Judai-kitsch Swap" is focused on finding new homes for used Judaica. If you have items that you would like to contribute, bring them by TBH before or on the day! There will also be a selection of books from the TBH library looking for new homes as well.

Growing Shabbat at Camp Solomon Schechter Friday, November 17 In Person
Everyone is welcome to join us for dinner and a service at Camp Solomon Schechter. Registration is free, but required for dinner plans and access codes. Please put any dietary requirements in the notes when registering.
PJ Playdate Sunday, November 19, 11:00 am In Person
On the third Sunday of every month, all kids ages 0-6 and their grown-ups and families are invited to join us for PJ Playdate. This is a social gathering opportunity for families, and will typically have a story walk, including craft time and snack.
CPR & AED Training Sunday, November 19, 1:00 pm In Person
Get CPR, AED, and First Aid certified with TBH Congregant Ian Brinker from The Best BLS. Certifications are valid for 2 years. This training is appropriate for both first time and refresher certifications. Training will include getting up and down off of the ground repeatedly, so please bring a pillow or yoga mat for comfort if desired.

IJS: Awaken: Essential Jewish Mindfulness Begins November 15
The Institute for Jewish Spirituality is offering a five-week introduction to practicing mindfulness from a Jewish perspective. Awaken: Essential Jewish Mindfulness is sourced in Kabbalistic and Hasidic wisdom taught in an accessible, non-dogmatic, practical manner. The teachers Rebecca Schisler, Rabbi Marc Margolius, and Rabbi Sam Feinsmith. This course is designed for people new to Jewish mindfulness practice or Jewish spirituality, or who want to deepen their practice.
