All TBH Members are welcome to attend monthly board meetings as guests.
Unity Commons Meal Preparation & Sponsorship Sunday, October 22
For the past year, TBH has been preparing a monthly meal for 60 at the Unity Commons Shelter on Martin Way. Unity Commons is a supported housing apartment operated by Interfaith Works. For more information: https://www.iwshelter.org
Funding for our meals is currently only partially covered under the TBH budget. It would be wonderful if this effort was funded by community donations. Pre-Covid, many people took the opportunity to honor a loved one at their yahrzeit by sponsoring an oneg. We hope that community members might wish to donate a meal in honor of a loved one, or simcha. The cost to put on a meal is approximately $250. This includes the food, as well as the disposable pans for transporting food to the shelter.
If you would like to be added to the list of volunteers for cooking, please contact Kayla at tbh@bethhatfiloh.org. If you would like to sponsor the meal & learn more, click here>>

Reconstructing Judaism has shared a few examples of organizations on the ground providing emergency services to those most in need accepting donations:
Magen David Adom Magen David Adom is Israel’s “Red Cross”. It has activated all 1,400 of its ambulances and is treating the wounded, often while under rocket attack and gunfire themselves. MDA EMTs are among the casualties.
Your help is desperately needed to put more ambulances on the road and to replenish supplies for both EMTs and paramedics and for MDA’s blood services division, which is supplying blood for the wounded.
