Family Life & Learning: Havdalah B'Yachad Saturday, March 6, 7:15 pm
This Saturday is our Havdallah B'yachad with Camp Solomon Schechter. Grab your candles and spices and get ready to celebrate havdalah, sing some of our favorite camp songs, and connect with community members throughout the PNW and beyond! Geared towards families with children but open to all.
This month's presenter will be Andrew Geibel, Policy Cousel at HIAS. Andrew Geibel joined HIAS last year as Policy Counsel specializing on asylum issues. He is the author of HIAS's "Roadmap to Recovery: A Path Forward after the Remain in Mexico Program" report, which details the steps needed to end the program that has forced tens of thousands of asylum seekers to stay in some of the most dangerous areas of Mexico.
Dinner pre-orders are due Tuesday, March 9th at 5 pm.
Family Life & Learning: Making the Omer Count Sunday, March 14, 11:30 am
Making the Omer Count will be a two month program for children ages 4-12 to give everyone an opportunity to begin to come back together and introduce our new plan for youth education starting officially in 5782 (in September). This program will include a collection of Jewish values classes, havdalah and Shabbat meetings and celebrations for Passover, Lag B'Omer and Shavuot. Initially, events will be virtual, but events will gradually be more in person, assuming it is considered safe to do so.
Registration will be required for full participation. The cost will be $36 per child. Join Rabbi Seth and Catherine Carmel on March 14th at 11:30am for a meeting to discuss details of the new plan AND the Making the Omer Count program.
Family Life & Learning: Matzah Making Exploration Sunday, March 14, 2:00 pm
Join Catherine and Leslie Goldstein for a pre-Passover matzah making exploration. We'll make some matzah and dive into questions like what makes matzah kosher for Passover. Registration is requested so we can send a list of supplies and prepare for our inquiring minds. Zoom Information: Register>>
New Member Havdalah Saturday, March 20, 7:00 pm
Please join us in celebrating and welcoming our new members who have joined our Temple Beth Hatfiloh community since January 2020. Though the pandemic has shifted our operations, our TBH community has been growing over the last year! This event is open to all.
Community Seder@Home: Registration is OPEN! Sunday, March 28, 6:00 pm Passover is Coming! We know we said “Next Year in Person” at the end of last year’s Seder, but once again we will be hosting TBH’s Community Passover Seder virtually. This year we will have a full Seder meal provided by Nineveh, including a Seder foods add on and an invitation to become a Seder Plate Sponsor!
The meal and the Seder will have separate registrations, so you can choose your level of participation. Meal pick-up will work similarly to the Salon@Home, occuring prior to the program in the TBH parking lot.

Sacred People, Sacred Earth Thursday, March 11, 12:00 pm
Join with Olympia UU’s and other faith groups around the globe in launching a Green Faith Initiative, “Sacred People, Sacred Earth”. During this virtual gathering, faith groups will make demands and take action for our collective social and environmental well-being. March 11 will begin eight months of advocacy in the name of love and equity to prepare for the global November 2021 Climate Conference. The Olympia launch will include mindful prayer, song, and a listing of demands by different faith groups, as well as a call for concrete action. Registration is preferred, but not required.
