Hardly a monolithic document, the Talmud contains investigation and argumentation on all the facets of life. No background required!

Neilah/Havdalah in the Parking Lot Monday, September 28, 7:00 pm
We will gather together in the parking lot as the sun sets for the closing service of Yom Kippur. While we can not hold our communal break fast this year, we will have the opportunity to share in the end of the holiday. Volunteers will be available for food drive drop off prior to the start of services! This is also a great opportunity to return any borrowed Mahzors.
Food Drive Drop Off Monday, September 28 before Neilah & Sunday, October 4 9:00 - 10:00 am
TBH is holding our traditional High Holiday Food Drive for the Thurston County Food Bank this year, with some modifications. All non-perishable food is welcome. Baby food, canned soup, mac and cheese, and kid friendly single serving items (snacks, top ramen, canned pasta, fruit cups) are especially needed this year. Checks to “Thurston County Food Bank” are a welcome alternative.
If these don’t work for you, contact the office to arrange another time. If you want to donate food and are not able to bring it to TBH, contact Marilyn Gisser, Marilyn.Gisser@gmail.com, by September 30 to arrange for pick up at your home. You may drop off checks to the Thurston County Food Bank in the secure TBH mailbox any time up to 9 am, Sunday October 4.
Mitzvah Morning Sunday, October 4, 9:30 am
On Mitzvah Morning we come together as a TBH community to help people in need. Some things will be a lot like the past, with modifications for safety. We have some familiar projects for Mitzvah Morning: farming at GRUB, delivering food to the Food Bank Warehouse, and Soup Making. We also have an at home project, making essentials kits for homeless people in Interfaith Works’ shelters.
This year you need to register in advance to participate. This way we can assure a safe number of participants, send project instructions to participants, and let you know if plans change. Register here>>
Looking forward to seeing you on October 4 at 9:30. We will start the day with Havdalah in the parking lot and virtually. This is a fun and fulfilling morning for all. Contact Marilyn Gisser, gissermarilyn@gmail.com 360-951-5717, with your thoughts and questions
