Michelle Alany Quartet Sunday, July 20, 3:00 pm In Person
Join us for an afternoon of music in the TBH courtyard, with a quartet featuring Michelle Alany. See Michelle's bio below. TBH's Anjali Silva will also perform as a guest musician!
This concert does not require registration. Attendance is free, with a recommended $10 cash/check donation accepted at the door.
Michelle Alany is an internationally touring violinist & vocalist, a dynamic performer & ambassador of world folk traditions. She specializes in soulful Sephardic, Mediterranean & Eastern European-inspired music, as well as original music, drawing on rich folk and classical traditions. After playing her first gigs while at music school at the University of California, Santa Cruz and through the jazz halls at Berklee College of Music, Michelle has delved even more deeply into the folk music and dance traditions of her past. She moved to Austin to “get off the page” and shortly after began performing and touring full-time. Now based in the west coast, Michelle maintains a strong touring schedule, and is often a guest soloist around the country with chamber ensembles and other engaging orchestras. Michelle’s versatility and depth as a performer will stir your soul, delight your senses, commune with your ancestors and ignite your spirit
Anyone up for some Temple Landscape Maintenance? Sunday, July 20, 9:00 am In Person
We have been doing a pretty good job of maintaining the landscaping around our new courtyard, but we could use a work group to remove weeds along our parking lot boundary. Can you find an hour or two on Sunday morning, July 20 at 9am to help with landscape maintenance? Please bring your gloves, sheers, trowels, clippers, rakes (and knee pads if you need them), and let's have at it. Meets 4th Tuesday of the month with Rabbi Seth. This seminar-type gathering will work on advancing Hebrew knowledge, including grammar and roots.

A two-in-one cooking class fundraiser at Temple Beth Hatfiloh from 1:30 to 4:00 on Sunday July 13. Learn to make Challah with Gaby Graham. While the Challah is rising make Tapas with Akiva and Hadassah Budrevich-Ryan. There will be time to snack on the delicious food.

Grounded in the ancient Jewish tradition of Rosh Chodesh—the celebration of the new moon—this session will guide you in creating simple, beautiful rituals that help your children (and yourself!) feel more rooted, calm, and connected to something greater.
