THIS WEEK AT TBH
Teva Sharing Circles Saturday, July 5, 3:00 pm In Person
The word teva is used in the Torah to refer to Noah’s ark as well as the basket that Moses was placed in. Our circle will be a safe and confidential space to express what’s on your hearts and minds, both about our Jewish world and about our wider world so rife with hatred and conflict. At the outset we’ll agree to some basic ground rules to give us structure and safety. Each participant will have an opportunity to speak while holding the talking stick (actually a silver sugar bowl). Evan Ferber and Eliana Stockwell-Ferber will facilitate. They both have training and experience in small group facilitation. No registration is required. Please come, including those of you who’ve come to past teva circles.
Melaveh Malka: Cancelled This Month Saturday, July 5, 7:00 pm In Person

TBH Poetry Circle Wednesday, July 9, 1:00 - 2:30 pm In Person
This month, the TBH poetry circle is a generative workshop based on prompts that participants bring with them to share. For ideas, try Googling "poetry prompts." Can't find a prompt you like? No worries - there will be extras on hand. We will use the prompts during the workshop to create poem sprouts (or complete poems, for the lucky ones). Bring seven or so copies of your prompt you would like us to work with. Questions? Contact Suzanne Simons, paradise.com@comcast.net

Asher Zeitlin Mitzvah Project
Hello, I am Asher Zeitlin and for my Bar Mitzvah project I am collecting items for a local animal shelter. I am doing this because animals share our world and should be treated humanely and with respect. Without shelters, many animals wouldn’t have a safe place to live, get the medical care they need or potentially find a home.
I believe as part of my Jewish identity that we have a responsibility to care for all that is around us, including animals. The animals in our community with the greatest need are in our local shelter.
I will be collecting dog/puppy wet/dry food, cat/kitten dry food, toys and treats for cats/dogs, bleach, paper towels and gift cards (Mud Bay, Petsmart, Petco, Walmart, Costco, The Dollar Store, etc.) Please bring them to TBH--there will be a box in the foyer.
Thank you for your generosity.
