COMING UP AT TBH
Asher Zeitlin Mitzvah Project
Hello, I am Asher Zeitlin and for my Bar Mitzvah project I am collecting items for a local animal shelter. I am doing this because animals share our world and should be treated humanely and with respect. Without shelters, many animals wouldn’t have a safe place to live, get the medical care they need or potentially find a home.
I believe as part of my Jewish identity that we have a responsibility to care for all that is around us, including animals. The animals in our community with the greatest need are in our local shelter.
I will be collecting dog/puppy wet/dry food, cat/kitten dry food, toys and treats for cats/dogs, bleach, paper towels and gift cards (Mud Bay, Petsmart, Petco, Walmart, Costco, The Dollar Store, etc.) Please bring them to TBH--there will be a box in the foyer.
Thank you for your generosity.
ShaBBQat Friday, July 4, 6:00 pm In Person @ TBH Courtyard

Unfortunately, some of our immigrant neighbors have been picked up and placed in detention by ICE. There are two ways we can stand up for our neighbors. Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (waisn.org) offers training in both rapid response and accompaniment.
Rapid Response teams show up when a detention is taking place. Their role is to observe, record and offer help to remaining family members. They do not interfere with ICE agents. Accompaniment volunteers accompany immigrants to court hearings or immigration appointments to offer support and also record events as needed.
After a summer hiatus, our Shabbat morning services will resume in September. We need Torah readers! If you are interested in reading Torah during a Saturday morning service over the course of next year, please fill in your name on this form.
Share Your Torah Thoughts!
Each week we have the opportunity to share thoughts and teachings about the weekly Torah portion as part of our services. And we want to hear your wisdom! Rabbi Seth invites you to deliver a d’var Torah at an upcoming service, no experience necessary—and he can help you craft your message. (Also look for a d’var Torah workshop over the summer). If you are interested, sign up here.
THANK YOU!
