Hello, I am Asher Zeitlin and for my Bar Mitzvah project I am collecting items for a local animal shelter. I am doing this because animals share our world and should be treated humanely and with respect. Without shelters, many animals wouldn’t have a safe place to live, get the medical care they need or potentially find a home.
I believe as part of my Jewish identity that we have a responsibility to care for all that is around us, including animals. The animals in our community with the greatest need are in our local shelter.
I will be collecting dog/puppy wet/dry food, cat/kitten dry food, toys and treats for cats/dogs, bleach, paper towels and gift cards (Mud Bay, Petsmart, Petco, Walmart, Costco, The Dollar Store, etc.) Please bring them to TBH--there will be a box in the foyer.
Thank you for your generosity.
