THIS WEEK AT TBH
Stars of David Softball Season Starts TONIGHT June 4, 6:15 & 7:20 pm Wednesday Evenings through July 16 In Person @ Yauger Park

For Thomas (Tommy) Taylor’s B'nai Mitzvah project, he is working on building a little library for the front of his house. He recently moved to a new house on an active walking route and noticed there were not very many little libraries in the neighborhood. He thought it would help build and strengthen community and promote reading if he added one to the neighborhood.
Please join him in spreading community to Olympia by donating one book for the grand opening of the little library or to South Sound Reading Foundation. The South Sound Reading Foundation provides free books to children in low-income housing units, schools, after-school programs, and community events to promote reading throughout the South Sound area. If you plan to donate one book, a box will be found in the TBH lobby.
Teva Sharing Circles Saturday, June 7, 3:00 pm In Person
The word teva is used in the Torah to refer to Noah’s ark as well as the basket that Moses was placed in. Our circle will be a safe and confidential space to express what’s on your hearts and minds, both about our Jewish world and about our wider world so rife with hatred and conflict. At the outset we’ll agree to some basic ground rules to give us structure and safety. Each participant will have an opportunity to speak while holding the talking stick (actually a silver sugar bowl). Evan Ferber and Eliana Stockwell-Ferber will facilitate. They both have training and experience in small group facilitation. No registration is required. Please come, including those of you who’ve come to past teva circles.

COMMITTEE UPDATES
Immigrant & Refugee Task Force: Immigration Support & Advocacy
Consider joining others at TBH to make a Welcome Blanket for an immigrant family. This national project Welcomeblanket.org has been making thousands of blankets since the first Trump administration. It is a symbolic action as well as a tangible one. Blankets are made by individuals or groups (knitted, crocheted, stitched, fabric painted) and are distributed to immigrant families offering a hearty Welcome. In addition, notes are included which can describe one's own immigrant stories and words of welcome. Blankets are 40" by 40" so working on one square need not be a huge time commitment. If you are interested, get in touch with Marilyn Gisser ( gissermarilyn@gmail.com ) This is a project which could be fun and a positive step towards peace, along with all the other work. And imagine if we in Olympia (or WA state) could make enough blankets to encircle the fountain at the Capital at a future demonstration.
