Unity Commons Meal Preparation and Sponsorship Opportunity Sunday, May 26
TBH prepares a monthly meal for 60 at the Unity Commons Shelter on Martin Way. Unity Commons is a supported housing apartment operated by Interfaith Works. This effort has been possible only with the amazing group of volunteers who have been showing up ready to roll up their sleeves and cook.
Funding for our meals is currently only partially covered under the TBH budget. It would be wonderful if this effort was funded by community donations. Over the past several months, we have had donors honor a loved one or a yahrtzeit by sponsoring the meal for the month. We are in need of a May sponsor! The cost to put on a meal is approximately $250. This includes the food, as well as the disposable pans for transporting food to the shelter.
Click here to sponsor a meal, or if you would like to be added to the list of volunteers for cooking, please contact Kayla at tbh@bethhatfiloh.org.

FROM THE OFFICE
Coming Soon: TBH Member Connect Email!
We are testing out a new communication initiative for TBH members to reach the entire membership! At the start of each month, we will send out a TBH Member Connect email: a members-only email with a focus on goods/services/and invitations. The TBH staff fields one-off requests for connection, but we are hoping to provide a new resource for our members to help them get the word out to our community. Some types of communications might be:
Do you need to rehome extra library books or are you looking to sell your bike?
Are you looking for a trusted handyperson?
Do you have an art exhibition and would like to invite TBH members to attend?
Do you need a ride to Seattle for medical appointments and are looking for a ride share?
Would you like to open your home to a few others for Shabbat dinner?
Please send your entries to Kayla for compilation throughout the month. Some content may be modified and inclusion will be at staff discretion. We will try out this format for the next few months and adjust as needed!
Share your Torah Thoughts!
Each week we have the opportunity to share thoughts and teachings about the weekly Torah portion as part of our services. And we want to hear your wisdom! Rabbi Seth invites you to deliver a d’var Torah at an upcoming service, no experience necessary—and he can help you craft your message. (Also look for a d’var Torah workshop over the summer). If you are interested, sign up here..
THANK YOU!
