Bat Mitzvah of Molly Littauer Saturday, March 11, 4:00 pm Hybrid
Please Join us in celebrating as Molly Alana Littauer is called as a Bat Mitzvah. Molly is in the 8th grade and attends Chinook Middle School. She has a passion for all things soccer and spends her evenings and weekends training. She loves to read, and enjoys adventurous activities including climbing and zip lining. For her community project, Molly has incorporated her love for animals through organizing a donation drive for the local Humane Society. Molly's friends and family, including those traveling from the East Coast, will be in attendance to celebrate her Bat Mitzvah with the community. (Photo courtesy of Camp Solomon Schechter (2022))
My name is Molly Littauer and my Bat Mitzvah is coming up in March. For my Mitzvah project I wanted to do something I would really enjoy and that would benefit others. I have two large dogs and saw an opportunity to help support other animals in need. After contacting various shelters and clinics I decided to partner with the Tacoma and Pierce County Humane Society who were most in need. My goal is to gather donations to benefit animals housed in the shelter system in need of basic comforts and supplies. Many items we are hoping to collect include new or used plastic shopping bags, towels, baby wipes, training pee pads, and nursing bottles. We are also collecting food supplies (unopened and with an expiration no earlier than May 2023) including soft or hard foods and treats. I have set out a box in the entry of the Temple to collect donations, along with a list from the Shelter of requested items. This list is also available online at https://www.thehumanesociety.org/ways-to-give/donate-items/
The donation drive will run through March 11th. Any donation is extremely appreciated!! Thank you for your support, Molly Littauer
Parking Lot Congregational Discussion Sunday, March 12, 1:00 pm Online
We have some critical decisions to make regarding the parking lot! Please reserve March 12th at 1:00 pm for an important congregational discussion with our members! We are going to need your attention. Right now we are looking at two alternatives for the parking lot. Both options have value. A powerpoint and Zoom information was sent to all members last week, and we will send a reminder on Friday morning. If you did not receive the slides and Zoom invitation, please contact Kayla in the office. We are accepting member comments prior until March 13th. Email tbh@bethhatfiloh.org to submit your feedback.
