Erev Shabbat Friday, February 24 Story Telling Shabbat 7:30 pm Online This Shabbat we continue the “Telling our TBH Stories” series during our regular 4th Friday of the month Shabbat services. This month the theme is Providing Sanctuary, about our time providing a safe place in our building for a woman and her child who were seeking asylum. Some TBH members will tell about their experiences as part of that effort.
Whether you were at TBH then, or are learning about this for the first time, we hope you will join us as we share our stories.

COMING UP AT TBH
Bat Mitzvah Project: Molly Littauer
Dear TBH community,
My name is Molly Littauer and my Bat Mitzvah is coming up in March. For my Mitzvah project I wanted to do something I would really enjoy and that would benefit others. I have two large dogs and saw an opportunity to help support other animals in need. After contacting various shelters and clinics I decided to partner with the Tacoma and Pierce County Humane Society who were most in need. My goal is to gather donations to benefit animals housed in the shelter system in need of basic comforts and supplies. Many items we are hoping to collect include new or used plastic shopping bags, towels, baby wipes, training pee pads, and nursing bottles. We are also collecting food supplies (unopened and with an expiration no earlier than May 2023) including soft or hard foods and treats. I have set out a box in the entry of the Temple to collect donations, along with a list from the Shelter of requested items. This list is also available online at https://www.thehumanesociety.org/ways-to-give/donate-items/
The donation drive will run through March 11th. Any donation is extremely appreciated!! Thank you for your support, Molly Littauer
Hamantaschen Make & Bake Sunday, March 5, 1:00 pm In Person
We need a few volunteer helpers for this event! We have two options available for assistance:
1) Make a batch of dough at home and drop off to TBH 2) Help at the afternoon event (good for folks with a familiarity with our kitchen)
Email tbh@bethhatfiloh.org if you can help.
Join us for Hamentaschen baking in preparation for our Purim Party the next day! Open to all ages, families and adult bakers alike. If you have favorite fillings, feel free to bring them--we will have some on hand as well. And we won't tell anyone if you sample a few fresh out of the oven.
Purim Party Monday, March 6, 6:00 pm In Person Join us for the full return of our annual Purim celebration marking the events of the book of Esther when the Jews were saved from a nefarious plot and we have a party to remember it! Food, crafts, games, the famous Purim Pinata and the reading of the megillah! Come in costume! Please bring a box of dry macaroni and cheese (or something comparable)--first you can use it as a grogger and then we can collect them as a donation for the Food Bank.
