TBH COMMITTEES
From the TBH Immigrant and Refugee Taskforce: Ukranian Couple New to Area Looking for Housing
Maria and Alex are a young married couple from Sumy, Ukraine, near the Russia border. Recently Alex was notified he was chosen in the U.S. “diversity lottery” that authorizes them to work and live permanently in the U.S. They chose to take advantage of the opportunities and safety offered here. Alex is a design engineer with a ph.d. and Maria has taught English as a second language. Resumes available on request. They speak English well and are motivated to find work right away in the Puget Sound area. They are staying with friends now in Olympia but must relocate by November. They need short-term housing near bus service, preferably to rent on a month-to-month basis in a shared apartment or house since they have no furnishings. Alex and Maria would welcome your help. Please contact Taskforce member Nancy Snyder at nancy_snyder@comcast.net if you have ideas for this couple. Thank you!
