Adult B’nai Mitzvah Group Forming!
Are you Jewish and never had a b’nai mitzvah? Whatever the reason it didn’t happen when you were 13, it is not too late. Having an adult b’nai mitzvah can be a wonderful way to celebrate and affirm one’s Jewish identity. Rabbi Seth is forming an adult b’nai mitzvah cohort to meet monthly over the course of the coming year (beginning in the fall) with the goal of a group ceremony in May of 2023. We will have the opportunity to learn together and plan together based on both individual and group interests, as well as engage with a curriculum developed by Rabbi Seth. All skill levels welcome. If you are interested, please contact rabbi@bethhatfiloh.org to let him know. Again, this is the name collecting phase, we will have an orientation for interested folks in the late summer, so even if you are not sure, reach out!
DONATIONS PLEASE! Celia's Mitzvah Project
Hi, My name is Celia Brockman, and my Bat Mitzvah is an upcoming event here at Temple Beth Hatfiloh. A community service project or “Mitzvah Project” is usually included in a Bat Mitzvah, For my Mitzvah Project, I am focusing on Period Poverty. Period Poverty is when women are experiencing economic stress which results in their not being able to afford the expenses of womens hyigene products. I am creating a donation bin here at the Temple for community members to donate products. I will collect those products and bring them to a local organization where they would be given to women in need. Contributions of any kind including cash donations, pads or tampons are greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
