Hardly a monolithic document, the Talmud contains investigation and argumentation on all the facets of life. No background required!

Enjoy camaraderie and live music while you walk as little or as much as you like. Give What You Can - Walk If You Want!Visit our "team" site to donate to our page and support our hungry neighbors.
Check out this short video to see what the walk is all about.
Stars of David Softball Returns!
We need a few more players! We are going to be playing on Thursday night which is newly designated as Super Mod coed, which means no tournament players allowed. That should make it more fun. For “coed,” according to the Parks and Rec Dept: “Teams must field five (5) people who identify as men and five (5) people who identify as women or gender nonconforming.
Alternate batting order. Two players who identify the same may not bat in a row.” The games will start June 3rd and we are guaranteed 14 games. We plan to have some practice sessions in May before the season starts. Donations are needed to support players who cannot afford the sign-up fee. Contact Jocelyn at 360-481-5889 or jocbrown3@gmail.com for more info.

Olympia Community Member Volunteering in Ukraine What Should TBH Be Doing As A Congregation to Help Refugees? From the Immigrant & Refugee Task Force
Kenny Trobman, who has connections to the Jewish community in Olympia, left the comfort of home and has used his wonderful culinary expertise to help feed people in Ukraine. You can read about his experience and observations on his Facebook page. There is a huge need for donations and many good organizations are helping refugees. Kenny has requested donations to the organization he has worked with : " Please consider making a donation to this amazing organization I have been volunteering with inside Ukraine https://zrzutka.pl/en/szeginia."
The TBH Immigration and Refugee Task Force has primarily focused on southern border refugee issues and particularly on providing Sanctuary. Because the case is still going through the legal system, our Sanctuary family still requires financial support (donations still needed and welcome!) However the situation of the family is stable and they are doing well.
With all these new refugee challenges, your Task Force needs new energies and perspectives, and wants to know your priorities.
Please send an email to Linda Rubin at linda.rubin23@gmail.com. and tell us your priorities and what you are interested in doing. For example:
AREAS OF INTEREST Afghan or Ukrainian refugee resettlement Undocumented worker's rights Northwest Detention Center Support for our Sanctuary family Support for Jewish Ukrainian refugees
PARTICIPATION INTERESTS Join Task Force Fundraising Advocacy Communication/Education with Congregation Liaison with other organizations Tech support to Task Force Individual/family resettlement
TBH members have long been dedicated to helping immigrants and refugees. The Task Force knows we will continue to welcome the stranger as we face these new challenges. Please consider a donation to our Sanctuary Fund (at www.interfaith-works.org) and/or to one of the many organizations responding to the crisis in Ukraine. Check the March weekly emails for info on Jewish organizations helping out in Ukraine.
