COMING UP AT TBH
Sukkot Starts Monday, September 20
The TBH Sukkah will be going up on September 19th, which means that it will be ready for Sukkot celebrations! Folks that would like to spend time in the Sukkah are welcome to come by the TBH courtyard. Rabbi Seth will be leading Shabbat services for those looking for a virtual celebration, and look for an update next week for family programming.
For September, we are reading: The Mystics of Mile End: A Novel - Sigal Samuel. Brother and sister Lev and Samara Meyer live in Montreal’s Mile End―a mashup of hipsters and Hasidic Jews. They have a fairly typical childhood, other than that around the corner Mr. Katz is trying to recreate the Biblical Tree of Knowledge out of plucked leaves, toilet paper rolls, and dental floss.
Shmita Hives September 6, 2021 - September 25, 2022
TBH will host a cohort of the Shmita Hives, a monthly opportunity to study together, practice rest and collective care, access play and embodiment, identify needs in Olympia, and collaborate on social/environmental justice projects. To sign up for the TBH cohort, go to www.TinyURL.com/SignUpSH. If you would like to learn more about Shmita Hives, go to www.TinyURL.com/ShmitaHives.
