Mysteries of Creation: A Weekend with Rabbi Jill Hammer and Shoshana Jedwab June 11 - June 12
During this Shabbat, we’ll experience the earth-based, embodied style of Kohenet prayer. Rabbi Jill Hammer will teach Sefer Yetzirah, the ancient mystical Book of Creation, and its practices for connecting to the wonders of inner and outer worlds.
We’ll explore Parashat Korach through bibliodrama and explore legends of the Jewish underworld. And we’ll honor the liminal states in our lives with the ceremony of havdalah—blessing distinctions.

Green Team Tuesday, June 15, 6:00 pm
We are working with the parking lot subcommittee to develop ways to "green" our new space. Ideas include: permeable pavement and/or solar absorption mitigation pavement, stormwater rain gardens, native plan gardens with flowering plants for pollinators, and electrical vehicle charging stations. We'd love to hear your input! Everyone is welcome to our next Zoom meeting.
Book Group Tuesday, July 22, 7:00 pm Please note that the date in the original June Short Schrift was incorrect. The regularly scheduled Book Group meeting has been changed to Tuesday, June 22nd at 7:00 pm. We will be selecting books to read next year. The meeting will be outside in person! If you have not been vaccinated, please plan on using strict COVID precautions. Please contact linda.rubin23@gmail.com for the address and directions. We are happy to provide a Zoom meeting as well for those folks that are unable to attend in person. Please email Linda to indicate your interest in attending virtually so that we can send you a link.
Membership Renewals Due July 1 Last year we switched to online renewal out of necessity with the pandemic. But, due to its success, we are going to repeat that same process this year. Please look for an emailed invitation to renew your membership next week. This is intended to be a quick and easy process on your online account. However, if there are any difficulties with accessing your ShulCloud account or filling out your form, please email Kayla in the office . She will be happy to troubleshoot the process or send you a hard copy form.
Summer Plan - Steps Toward Reopening Our plan for the summer was emailed out yesterday, including opportunities for in-person indoor and outdoor events coming up in July and August! If you didn't have a chance to read it yet, the full document is available here.
