SHABBAT SHALOM!
Erev Shabbat Friday, January 8
Shabbat Service, 6:00 pm Our Shabbat service in the comfort of your own home! Grab your computer and candles, and we'll join together in virtual community. Services will be hosted on Facebook Live and Zoom.
Torah Study, 10:00 am Prayer and study are equally holy activities. All are invited to join in these highly participatory discussions. No experience necessary!
New to 2021 in Jewish Family Life and Learning! Shalom Chaverim is a new kid driven program to allow Jewish kids in grades 2-5 to connect. It's a weekly, unscripted opportunity for the kids to make friends with other Jewish kids. We're starting at 10:30 this Sunday!

Our January Salon@Home is coming up on Friday, January 15th, with guest speaker Talauna Reed. This is the third event in our series on "Jews, Racial Justice, & TBH."

We have now had two important and thoughtful sessions on addressing racial justice as a Jewish community. Thank you to Mari Nowitz and Rebekah Erev for guiding our last session on reparations. Our third planned gathering will be the Salon@Home in January, when we will hear from Talauna Reed, a local activist with BLAST, SURJ and Justice for Yvonne. At the same time, we are planning our next steps. God?: A Reconstructionist Conversation. Sunday, January 24, starting at 9:30 am
Join Reconstructing Judaism's movementwide day of learning, "God?: A Reconstructionist Conversation." The program will include interactive small group discussions, workshops, a panel and a virtual cocktail hour. More information and registration is available here.
The Gift of Awareness Starts Sunday, January 24, 2:00 pm
TBH is partnering with the Institute for Jewish Spirituality to offer this 8-module course on Jewish mindfulness meditation. Led by Rabbi Seth and using the materials and teachings from IJS, we will engage in the study and practice of Jewish mindfulness. Registration will be required and limited to 20 participants, registration fee is $36 for TBH members, $72 for non-members (this is a discounted rate because of our partnership with IJS--normal registration is $149). First meeting will be Sunday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m. (full schedule will follow)

Joint Tu B’Shvat Seder-ish: Reconstructionist Communities of the PNW Wednesday, January 27, 6:30 PM
Join an evening of learning and eating meditations as we celebrate the New Year of Trees through an in-depth exploration of the seven species of of abundance in Torah: wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olive (oil) and dates. We invite you to bring your own samples of each of these items (or their respective derivatives), and journey through the mystical and the mundane as each rabbi explores the significance of one of these items in Jewish tradition, and leads us in a mindful tasting!

With our continued closure, please be mindful that appointments are required to either access the building or to consult in-person with TBH staff. This allows our staff to adequately prepare and ensure the safety of all. Members and friends of TBH are more than welcome to drop off envelopes and small items in the silver mailbox near the main entrance, however, we cannot guarantee any assistance to visitors at the door that have not set up an appointment previously.
