Mussar, 10:00 am Mussar is the Jewish school of thought which seeks to root personal character development and right behavior in Jewish tradition and text. We will meet for Mussar Torah Study of parashat Tol'dot (Genesis 25:19 - 28:9). The focus will be on the Mussar middah (soul trait) of Truth (Emet). This is found in pages 37 to 41 in "The Mussar Torah Commentary." Please join us as we continue our Torah study with this always thought provoking parachat. We look forward to being with you. -Michele & Richard Jackman
Interfaith Thanksgiving Sunday, November 22, 3:00 pm
This year's Interfaith Works' Annual Thanksgiving event will feature musical contributions and short reflections across a wide variety of spiritual communities from our region.
In addition, we will welcome regional, indigenous spiritual leaders Rev. Roy Wilson of the Cowlitz Tribe and Robert Satiacum Jr. of the Puyallup tribe who will lead us in an opening prayer in Chinook jargon and a land recognition and acknowledgement. Mrs. Lonnie Locke of the Thurston County Baha'i will be the featured speaker of the evening.
To attend this event just click on this Facebook link at 2 p.m. on November 22nd.
Stick around after the event on a separate Zoom call to have a social time in which we will each bring a dish and share each other's company. There will be various interfaith blessings on our food and a chance to meet up in small break out rooms. Here is the link for this social hour: https://zoom.us/j/96108002479

Parking Lot Visioning Meeting Sunday, December 13, 10:00 am
Please join us for the first community "visioning" meeting, that will help guide temple membership in its decision whether to purchase the adjacent parking lot. There will be a presentation on the basic facts of the situation – including the terms of the existing lease and the potential purchase. There will also be a presentation on the economics of parking lot administration. We'll have opportunities for questions and answers and everyone will have a chance to provide their ideas for short-term and long-term uses of the site.
This section of the weekly is dedicated to sharing member creativity and experiences during this time of separation! If you have a recipe, piece of art, poem, short story, photo, etc. that you would like to share, send it to tbh@bethhatfiloh.org. If we receive enough submissions, we hope to compile them after this crisis has passed.
