Sukkot In-Person Gatherings at TBH Saturday, October 3 - Tuesday, October 6
The TBH Sukkah will go up as usual this year, and we will be celebrating safely! Folks who wish to spend time together in the sukkah will be invited to register for a day and time in advance. There will be multiple opportunities to visit virtually as well--see more below. Each gathering will be limited to 10 participants to maximize safety.

Sukkot Virtual Gatherings Friday, October 2 - TBD
In addition to our in-person gatherings in the sukkah, there will be several opportunities to celebrate Sukkot together virtually. Erev Shabbat Services will be conducted from the Sukkah on October 2 and 9 (see Shabbat section of the weekly for Zoom information). Two other opportunities are Mitzvah morning Havdalah on October 4 at 9:30 am (Zoom information below), and a Climate Presentation by Barak Gale (time and date TBD).
Final Food Drive Drop-off Sunday, October 4, 9:00 - 10:00 am
This Sunday morning is our last scheduled drop-off time for Food Drive donations! All non-perishable food is welcome. Baby food, canned soup, mac and cheese, and kid friendly single serving items (snacks, top ramen, canned pasta, fruit cups) are especially needed this year. Checks to “Thurston County Food Bank” are a welcome alternative. You may drop off checks to the Thurston County Food Bank in the secure TBH mailbox any time up to 9 am, Sunday October 4.
“See” you on Mitzvah Morning Sunday, October 4, 9:30 am
The High Holidays Aren’t Over Until Mitzvah Morning. We close out Yom Kippur by breaking our fast. Then it is time to act on behalf of those in need in our community. Join us in a pandemic-safe Mitzvah Morning, on Sunday, October 4. We’ll start the morning at TBH and on-line at 9:30 with Havdalah (and Sukkot!). Then, it’s time for our Mitzvah Projects. Please register in advance to participate to participate this year. This way we can assure a safe number of participants, send project instructions to participants, and let you know if plans change.

Hazon Seal Summit 2020 Thursday, October 8, 6:30 - 11:00 am
TBH has a group registration for this conference-type event. This will be a combination of learning, connecting, sharing, growing, and spending a day during Chol Hamoed Sukkot reminding each other that we are part of a larger network and community of Jewish institutions, organizations and individuals who care about our planet, about sustainability and about creating a healthier, more just and equitable world for all. We will celebrate Simchat Torah at Priest Point Park Shelter #4 (weather dependent). Pre-registration is required; group size will be limited to 30.
October Salon@Home: Congressional Forum Friday, October 16, 6:00 pm
Our monthly Salon@Home returns! Marilyn Strickland & Beth Doglio will join us for TBH's Congressional forum. Dinner provided by Nineveh will be available for pre-order, and you can pick it up at TBH on Friday afternoon. Erev Shabbat services will be at 6:00 pm, after which we will hear from our featured speakers, beginning at 7:00 pm. You do not need to purchase a meal to attend, please join for all or part.
