Water/Yetzirah: Awakening to the Flow

Monday, May 20, 2019 15 Iyar 5779

6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

At TBH, in the small chapel.

Join Kohanot Nomy Lamm and Rebekah Erev in an ongoing series to cultivate a relationship with the elements through a Jewish lens.

As the earth is feeling lush and plump from the rains of Spring, we are fully in the receiving of abundance of this season now. Flowers have bloomed, vegetables are in the ground, starting the risk of their lives to reach out to the sun.

We take this opportunity to commune with the element of water and the world of Yetzirah/Formation. Things are !happening!, coming into being. We will explore the symbology of mikveh (a Jewish ritual of water), the healing quality of salt water including tears ~ sweat ~ ocean ~ amniotic fluid. Receiving, revelation, and liberation are all themes of Spring. We will emerge into these qualities through group ritual, songs of liberation, expressive arts and group witnessing of our individual paths in this time.

This event is being held during the 49-day mystical portal between Pesach and Shavuot known as "counting the Omer." This specific night is Tiferet She'b'Hod, a deep expansive centering and healing in the realm of time and planning and gathering energy. Let us explore these two sephirot, both of which reside in the realm of Yetzirah/Water/Formation, on this potent night.

No Hebrew or Singing Experience required. Beginners Welcome.

Led by Kohanot (Hebrew Priestesses) Nomy Lamm and Rebekah Erev.
