7:00 PM - 9:00 PMIsrael is the only state in the world with a majority Jewish population, yet there is much we may not know about its complicated history and present-day challenges. Join Professor Nancy Koppelman as she leads us toward a better understanding of Israel and its history, culture, and relationship with its neighbors and with Jews around the world.
This six-part virtual series will be taught by TBH Member Professor Nancy Koppelman (The Evergreen State College). Nancy held a three-year appointment as Visiting Research Scholar with the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies at Brandeis University, where she was a faculty fellow in 2019. She is currently a speaker through Humanities Washington talking about Israel, and was previously a speaker in 2014-16 talking about human rights. She is currently teaching a course at Evergreen called “Antisemitism Revisited.” The class will be moderated by Rabbi Goldstein and will include opportunities for questions and discussion.
Class meets on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.
