The Shofar Project 5781 Starting August 8 TBH group starts Saturday, August 14, 7:00 pm Online
Presented by IJS in partnership with an inspiring, multi-denominational coalition of organizations, The Shofar Project will take place during the Hebrew month of Elul, a traditional period for spiritual reflection, introspection, and moral accounting (August 8 - September 6). Because the upcoming year is a Shemitah, or sabbatical year, this year’s Shofar Project will focus in particular on release: of our control of our planet and other human beings, as well as habits of mind and behavior that create an unjust society.
Rabbi Seth will guide a local group to supplement participation in the IJS Shofar Project, meeting on Saturday evenings 7 p.m.-8 p.m., ending with Havdalah. First meeting is Saturday August 14. While it is encouraged to register for the IJS program, this group will be open to all as we make our way through Elul.
