So, what is your relationship to Tisha B’Av? Is there relevance to mourning the destruction of Jerusalem 2600 years ago? Can collective grieving of racial injustice, economic injustice, climate injustice, play a role in healing? Can collective yearning for justice nudge Mashiach to get the show on the road? Quarantine Fatigue
It’s “quarantine fatigue”, reporters say, That causes such unrest out on the street, Where folks can’t keep their feeling held at bay.
Here, Love and Violence are sure to meet, Where peaceful protest faces broken glass. Which one will win? Which one will face defeat?
This virus, known to be a novel class, Is something folks are treating like the flu, With daily counts they surely must surpass.
We know the practices we must renew - Practices most stringently applied - And “quarantine fatigue” we must subdue.
We must rely on Science as our guide, That we don’t join the count of those who died.
