Service Projects

The synagogue participates in the Emergency Shelter Network, an overflow homeless shelter that moves between a variety of faith communities. Congregation members volunteer to coordinate the effort and spend the night to host the shelter guests. The congregation also participates in an on-going “mitzvah project” which in the past has included working at a local soup kitchen. TBH participates in the Olympia Bicycle Commuter Contest, sponsored by Climate Solutions, to raise awareness of environment issues and energy conservation, and teams from TBH also participate in community-wide social action events such as the CROP Walk, to raise money for feeding the hungry.
